Directors
Les or Uncle Les, a graduate of both the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University, has taught in suburban and city school systems. He has coached several sports including lacrosse and basketball, was a qualified athletic official and has directed both private and community youth programs for many years including day and overnight camps. In addition, Les was the founder of an independent school.
Les has long experience in all phases of camping, and has been a member of the Executive Board of the American Camping Association's Eastern Section. He is active in many community groups, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Shipley School and was active in the Children's Hospital for the Middle East located in Tel Aviv. He provides overall leadership and direction to the entire camp community.
Maddy, Aunt Maddy or Dr. Maddy is a highly respected physician specializing in Pediatrics. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She is a diplomat of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a Board Certified Pediatrician in private practice in the Main Line area of Philadelphia. Aunt Maddy was also an outstanding athlete, earning All American recognition in lacrosse and field hockey. Recently she was inducted into the Haverford High School Sports Hall of Fame. During the camping season, she devotes the majority of her time to camper health and welfare.
