Meet Our Owners and Directors
Aunt Maddy or Dr. Maddy is a highly respected physician specializing in Pediatrics. She is a graduate of both the University of Pennsylvania and the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She is a diplomat of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a Board Certified Pediatrician (with a sub-specialty in Developmental Pediatrics) in private practice in the Main Line area of Philadelphia. You may often see Dr. Maddy on local and national television news being consulted by networks regarding current pediatric issues. Aunt Maddy was also an outstanding athlete, earning All-American recognition in lacrosse and field hockey & was inducted into the Haverford High School Sports Hall of Fame. During the camping season, she devotes the majority of her time to camper health and welfare.

graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a degree in Sociology after spending a few semesters as a Fine Arts major at Ithaca College. She works full time for Camp Kweebec, is ServSafe certified and is an active member of the American Camping Association. Rachel has a very unique perspective of camp as she has 39 years of experience as a camper, counselor, group leader and supervisor at Kweebec. She has experience being the Director of Operations and Camper Welfare as well. Rachel is joined at camp by her husband Josh and their twin toddlers Jules & Gabe.
has more than 33 years of experience at Camp Kweebec as a camper, counselor, group leader and supervisor. Prior to working for Kweebec full time, Josh attended Indiana University in Bloomington where he majored in Education. Josh oversees the planning of all new facility improvements and programs. As a former varsity hockey and lacrosse player Josh is very involved with the Kweebec athletic program, and his many years of experience at Kweebec provide him with the background to help every camper reach their full potential. Josh is joined at camp by his wife Morgan and their twin toddlers Logan and Mia.
or “Matty Ro,” has been a part of the Kweebec family for more than 20 years, first attending Kweebec as a camper, and later working as a counselor, group leader, and supervisor at camp. After spending a semester studying guitar and voice at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Matthew completed his undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania and began working full time for Kweebec as a Director in the fall of 2008. Matthew is a member of the American Camping Association and serves as an ACA Standards Visitor. In addition to working as a Director throughout the year, Matthew oversees experiential education programs for American elementary school students in China and is very active in the world of International Education both in the US and abroad. During the summer, Matthew works directly with Kweebec's campers, parents and staff and oversees Camp Kweebec's Pilot Program and International Camper Program. Matthew is joined at camp by his wife Liz.
graduated from Florida State University in 1997 with a degree in education, and prior to becoming an Associate Director at Kweebec served as the director of a successful overnight camp. Jon brings more than 20 years of overnight camp and childcare experience to Kweebec and has previously been a counselor, group leader & divisional supervisor. Jon is an active member of the American Camping Association and his wealth of experience and vast camp knowledge make him an invaluable addition to the Kweebec community. In addition to working as an Associate Director during the year, Jon is our Head Athletic Director during the summer. Joining Jon at camp is his wife Cari and their two children, Sam and Ben.
